Radiology is a specific field of medicine that uses medical imaging to diagnose and treat diseases in humans and animals. A radiology professional diagnoses and treats wounds and diseases using imaging (radiology) methodology, for example, X-beams, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), nuclear medicine, positron emission tomography (PET), and ultrasound.
